By booking a vehicle with Albania Airports Rent A Car, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Driver Requirements

To rent a vehicle, the driver must:

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Hold a valid driving licence for at least 1 year.
• Present a valid passport or identification document.
• Present a valid driving licence at vehicle pickup.

For certain vehicle categories, additional age or driving-experience requirements may apply where communicated before confirmation.

International customers must present a valid driving licence. An International Driving Permit may be required where applicable.

3. Reservations & Booking

• Reservations may be made online, by phone, WhatsApp or another approved communication channel.
• A reservation request is subject to vehicle availability.
• A reservation becomes confirmed after Albania Airports Rent A Car confirms availability.
• Confirmation may be sent by email, WhatsApp or another agreed communication method.
• The Company reserves the right to refuse or cancel a reservation where reasonably necessary.

4. Payment, Credit Card & Deposit Policy

Accepted payment methods may include:

• Cash in EUR or ALL.
• Bank transfer where agreed.
• Other payment methods specifically agreed with Albania Airports Rent A Car.

Full rental payment is due at vehicle pickup unless another payment arrangement has been agreed in advance.

No undisclosed security deposit or credit-card requirement will be introduced at vehicle pickup.

5. Cancellation Policy

• Free cancellation is available up to 2 hours before the confirmed pickup time unless different cancellation conditions were clearly agreed before confirmation.
• Cancellations made less than 2 hours before pickup may be subject to a charge of up to one rental day where applicable.
• Where no advance payment has been collected, there is normally no payment to refund following an eligible cancellation.
• A no-show without notice may result in the loss of all or part of any prepaid amount where applicable.

6. Vehicle Pickup & Delivery

• Vehicles may be delivered at Tirana International Airport or another agreed location.
• The renter should inspect the vehicle at pickup.
• Existing vehicle condition or damage may be documented using photographs, video or the rental agreement.
• Such documentation may be used as evidence of the vehicle's condition before the rental.
• By accepting the vehicle and signing the rental agreement, the renter accepts the documented condition of the vehicle.

7. Rental Period

• The rental period begins at the agreed pickup time and ends at the agreed return time.
• Late returns exceeding 180 minutes may be charged as an additional rental day.
• Rental extensions must be approved by Albania Airports Rent A Car in advance.

8. Insurance Coverage

Vehicles include mandatory third-party liability insurance as required by applicable Albanian law.

Additional protection may be available depending on the vehicle and reservation, including:

• Collision Damage Waiver (CDW).
• Additional or Full Coverage options.
• Theft Protection where available.

Insurance or additional protection may not cover damage or loss resulting from:

• Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• Serious traffic violations.
• Unauthorised off-road use.
• Negligence or intentional misuse.
• Loss of keys or vehicle documents.
• Unauthorised drivers.
• Use contrary to the rental agreement.

In case of an accident, the renter must:

1. Inform Albania Airports Rent A Car immediately.
2. Contact the police where required.
3. Obtain appropriate accident documentation or a police report where required.

Failure to follow required procedures may affect applicable insurance or protection coverage.

9. Fuel Policy

Vehicles are delivered with a recorded fuel level and should normally be returned with the same fuel level.

Where a vehicle is returned with less fuel, the missing fuel and any applicable service cost may be charged to the renter.

10. Cross-Border Travel

Driving outside Albania is prohibited unless prior authorisation has been obtained from Albania Airports Rent A Car.

Additional insurance, documentation or charges may apply for authorised cross-border travel.

11. GPS Tracking & Vehicle Security

Certain vehicles may be equipped with GPS tracking or other security technology.

These systems may be used for:

• Vehicle security.
• Theft prevention.
• Vehicle recovery.
• Roadside assistance.
• Investigation of unauthorised vehicle use.
• Legitimate fleet-management purposes.

GPS information may include vehicle location and movement data.

GPS information is not sold.

It may be disclosed where required by law, police authorities, court order, insurance procedures or where reasonably necessary to recover or protect a vehicle.

The renter must not remove, disable, damage, block or interfere with any GPS or vehicle-security system.

12. Prohibited Use

The vehicle may not be used for:

• Illegal activities.
• Racing or competitive driving.
• Unauthorised subleasing.
• Transport of illegal goods.
• Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• Unauthorised off-road driving.
• Any use expressly prohibited by the rental agreement.

Serious violations may result in immediate termination of the rental agreement and liability for resulting loss or damage.

13. Fines & Traffic Violations

The renter is responsible for:

• Traffic fines.
• Parking penalties.
• Toll charges.
• Other violations committed during the rental period.

Reasonable administrative costs may apply where Albania Airports Rent A Car is required to process fines or official requests relating to a rental.

14. Breakdown & Roadside Assistance

In case of a mechanical problem:

• The renter must contact Albania Airports Rent A Car immediately.
• The renter must not arrange unauthorised repairs without prior approval.

Roadside assistance is available within Albania subject to the circumstances of the incident.

Damage or breakdown caused by negligence, misuse or traffic-law violations may not be covered by roadside assistance.

For mechanical problems not caused by the renter, Albania Airports Rent A Car will make reasonable efforts to repair the vehicle or provide another vehicle of the same or similar category, subject to availability.

15. Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Albania Airports Rent A Car is not responsible for:

• Loss of or damage to personal belongings left inside a vehicle.
• Delays caused by circumstances outside the Company's reasonable control.
• Indirect or consequential losses where exclusion is legally permitted.

16. Data Protection

Albania Airports Rent A Car processes personal information in accordance with applicable data-protection law.

Customer information may be processed for:

• Reservation management.
• Rental agreements.
• Identity and driving-licence verification.
• Customer communication.
• Accounting and payment administration.
• Insurance, accident and damage management.
• Fleet security and vehicle recovery.
• Legal compliance.
• Establishment or defence of legal claims.

We do not sell customer personal data.

Information may be disclosed to authorised service providers, operational partners, insurers, professional advisers or competent authorities where reasonably necessary or legally required.

17. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Albania.

Any dispute will be handled by the competent courts or authorities in accordance with applicable Albanian law.

18. Acceptance of Terms

By completing a reservation and entering into a rental agreement, the renter confirms that they have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
