Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to reservations made with Albania Airports Rent A Car.

1. Pay on Arrival Reservations

Many reservations with Albania Airports Rent A Car are paid on arrival.

Where no payment has been collected in advance, there is normally no payment to refund following an eligible cancellation.

No security deposit is required for any vehicle category.

2. Free Cancellation

A reservation may be cancelled free of charge up to 2 hours before the confirmed pickup time unless different cancellation conditions were clearly agreed before confirmation.

3. Late Cancellation

A cancellation made less than 2 hours before the confirmed pickup time may be subject to a charge of up to one rental day where applicable.

4. No-Show

A customer may be considered a no-show when they fail to arrive for the confirmed rental without notifying Albania Airports Rent A Car.

Where payment has been made in advance, a no-show may result in the loss of all or part of the prepaid amount.

5. Flight Delays

Where a correct flight number has been provided, reasonable flight delays will not normally be treated as a no-show.

Customers should contact us as soon as possible where travel plans change significantly.

6. Cancellation by Albania Airports Rent A Car

If Albania Airports Rent A Car is unable to provide the confirmed vehicle and cannot provide a reasonably suitable alternative, the customer may cancel the reservation.

Any eligible amount paid directly to Albania Airports Rent A Car for the affected reservation will be refunded.

7. Duplicate Payments & Incorrect Charges

Confirmed duplicate payments or incorrect charges will be corrected and the applicable amount refunded.

8. Early Vehicle Return

Returning a vehicle before the agreed return date does not automatically create a right to a refund for unused rental time.

Any refund or credit relating to an early return is subject to agreement with Albania Airports Rent A Car.

9. Vehicle Breakdown

If a mechanical problem is not caused by the renter, Albania Airports Rent A Car will make reasonable efforts to repair the vehicle or provide a suitable replacement.

If the contracted rental service ultimately cannot be provided, any appropriate refund will be assessed according to the circumstances and applicable law.

10. Damage, Fines & Other Charges

Charges relating to vehicle damage, loss, traffic fines, tolls, fuel, cleaning, missing equipment, unauthorised use or other contractual liabilities are governed by the rental agreement and Terms and Conditions.

These charges are separate from any security deposit, because Albania Airports Rent A Car does not require a security deposit.

11. Refund Method

Approved refunds will normally be returned using the original payment method where technically possible.

Processing times may depend on the relevant bank or payment provider.

12. Requesting a Refund

Refund requests should include:

• Reservation number.
• Customer name.
• Rental dates.
• Reason for the refund request.

13. Applicable Law

Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory consumer rights available under applicable law.
